The Empath

Curling, swirling, spiralling

Like a whirling dervish.

Wrapping its fingers around one and all

Like tentacles, gripping and choking.

Invisible to so many

And visible to so few,

It permeates everything

And exists outside and inside.

 

This is no kind of weather

No kind of light.

This is Energy, grasping, holding,

Caressing and soothing.

A vortex surrounding us

Puling and dragging at us.

Some feel pain, some feel joy.

Some feel love, some feel anger.

But no-one escapes its pull.

 

I stand still and feel

All you feel.

I feel your joy, your pain.

Your Love and your hate.

It fills my being

And fills my psyche.

Touch like static shocks

And touch like downy feathers

And this from just one.

How so much stronger

When experiencing many?

Energy. Life.
