The Bottle and the Pipe

The pipe and the bottle ...

Once upon a time a smoking pipe and wine bottle lay inside a cubbard having a conversation ....

"I've seen a lot at my age.. " Said the bottle
"I'm remembered in celebrations and special occasions ... and because my nature is liquid, I can make others feel weightless and bubbly... I wear a fine label and when I tip my top and bow for the ladies and gentleman, then I make any mundane meal, a formal one."

The pipe answered...

"I've seen a lot too, ... when I am lit and filled with fire, I can take the edge off anyone's troubles, and I am often shared with friends and guests... I leave my signuture in cursive smoke and I've been inspiration to many books and music as well as ben present at many interesting conversations"

"I've seen hard times too" ... The bottle said
"When people try drowning their grief instead of recessitating from it... I've seen how people would rather be with me than with their work and home... I become deadly or discarded when I'm broken and have led many to their graves" ....

The pipe then said..

"That happens with me as well... I can recur like nightmares instead of dreams... at times I can be harsh and painful, like you, I can bring headaches and take away the breath of life, I tend to drive many others away from me..."

"Are we as guilty for our good intentions that may come with bad outcomes ? the bottle asked ...

"We are only as guilty of treating others as they treat themselves" .....
