                FROGTIME

Once upon a frogpond time

Standing still on the mudsoft bank as a

Butter sun sank green into algae

A new sort of algebra at work in me

An unexpected alchemy

 

And buzzing round my head

(With tiny voices) gnats of Heaven singing

Like Palm Sunday's very rocks bringing

A loud Hosanna to previously

Stone deaf ears

 

Yellow, green and sometimes blinding

White reflected suns reminding me

To thank the Frog King

For this moment in

The non-Apocalypse

Sort of a reflection on Time minus History, a moment of "Be Here Now". At least I think that's what I was working at. Thanks M, I think I'd rather a poem had a feeling than a meaning most of the time. Have a great weekend M. marK

When you look around and ponder, listening to insects and gnats can really be more rewarding than communicating with people. Symphony to the ears really including the croaking of the Frog King when you're up to here in doublespeak, not just from the government.

A friendly advice: tell your gnat friends not to be too trusting of the Frog King. They might get zapped.

I know you want some quiet and peace. Don't we all?

Hi M,

Unfortunately for you, you are not one of the gnat friends I was referring to, since you were not part of the chirping chorus in the sound track which accompanied the poem.

But one who goes by the name, "people r strange", now that's a pretty cool person, like Jim Morrison of the Doors.

That's one nutty, kookie friend that's always nice to have.
