Do you wear fur coats?
If you wear them write you have are natural or imitation fur coats and also add you put on them for fashion and style or as a mean from cold and frost

I think that you are asking this question more from a fashion clothing viewpoint, which is why you have aimed it at ladies only. I know men who wear animal skins and furs for practical reasons.

 I DO wear real animal skins and furs. They are much warmer and more durable than faux fur and leather. Not all animals are viewed as "cute and fluffy". In different parts of the world animals which live in the wild are considered to be destructive vermin which need culling before they become a problem (and a danger) to farmers, and to people living in that area. So it makes economic sense to do something useful with the skins, furs and meat from those animals.

Faux fur and leather are comprised of man-made chemicals which do not break down naturally because they are not organic, which contributes to the worlds growing build-up of discarded plastic.

It's a warm climate in the South of Russia but even there many women wear fur coat. Is there any sense in this except for fashion?

Some people can feel the cold differently to others. What feels icy cold to one might feel mild to another. That would explain why some ladies wear fur coats there.

Also you would have to look at the retail price of actual fur when compared to woven wool fabric. Is fur the cheaper option? Look at the style of the coat. Is it "dated" or old fashioned? New styled coats would point more to fashion. An older coat is worn for warmth. A short coat which hangs above the knee is not as warm as a long coat which hangs at the ankles so would more likely be a fashion item.
