You have the power to be....

The ladies and I met last week and we spoke about things that can upset or hurt us and how we can deal with this.

 

I found online a wonderful piece as set out below:

 

You have the Power:

To be wonderful

To be kind

To be thoughtful

To be patient

To be loved

To be strong

To be supportive

To be happy

To be your True Self.

 

I added to this list - 

To be mean

To be unkind

To be unthoughful

To be impatient

To be unloved

To be weak

To be unsupportive

To be miserable

To be everything but your True Self.

 

As we discussed these, one thing that they all asked was how can you have the power to be loved?  By loving yourself and others I replied.  If we cannot learn to love ourselves or others, then how can we expect to be loved in return by others?  If you don't love you, then why should anyone else want to love you?  Simple maybe but simple truth.

 

This list caused much debate which is always healthy when done in love and respect for all points of view.  My point was trying to get them to see outside the box, that we all have the power to be victor or victim....to live with love and joy or just not live.  Every conscious choice or remark we make has ripples or effects on everything else around us.

This doesn't mean we can think things...random thoughts that may be negative and get away with that.  Thought become things and its a basic truth we all need to remember.

 

I know as a write about the group of ladies I meet with, I wanted to add these are ladies that wouldn't be into anything we would be used to here...these are just a group of ladies, living in an inner city area who met through massage courses I taught and wanted to carry on meeting once the course finished.  The first taste most got of anything 'not regarded by society as normal' was during some of the meditations we did during the courses.  They are wonderful in that they allow me to help them gently push the limits.  

 

I am truly blessed and thankful.
