The Journey

This is my last journey here, I am glad of it.
The road has been rough and
rocky. Much loss and some gain.
losses that teach, wound and scar.
If we
are strong, brave and trustingwe heal,
the wounds become sacred and we go
on.

 

Along the path I have always noticed, there is someone who walks beside
me.
Along the way, angels stop by, put a hand on your shoulder or hold your hand
and let you rest for a moment.

 

Along the path, you lose a father
and then meet his spirit in another, who
lends his strength to yours,
You lose a brother, only to find him in a
friend,
you lose a daughter
and find her beauty in a child who needs
you
and you lose a love
then one day look into the eyes
of a kindred
spirit who looks back at you

 

Along the path
I have gathered a family of found friends
and friends
who found me
and I have come to realize
that rarely do families grow up
under the same roof.

 

Life here gives, and it takes away
and it is up to me to
make room for
the angels who walk beside me
up to me to remember
the deep love, wisdom
and bliss I was created with.

 

May I always make room for angels.
