It's such a shame our society is so narrow in it's thinking that we are to make so many assumptions and judgements if someone who identifies as a man would wear makeup.. to me I would vastly prefer a world where people felt completely free to dress and decorate themselves any way they wish, experiment, dress-up, costume, play, whatever they felt like expressing... and people would instead react with the same sense of curiosity and playfulness and instead of making a judgement or assumption.. actually communicate and inquire about what that person is expressing and why and share in the journey.

They make mineral make-ups these days and often pigments come from natural sources. I would imagine that if there isn't such a thing already, one could make a line of makeup actually enhanced with mineral/gemstone/crystal properties. :)

The dress code... I'd sure like to see that go... *sigh* I'm sure you would look stunning in azurite and malachite eye shadow!

Yes, good points, like the ancient Egyptians, I wasn't thinking about the possible toxicity that exposure to crushed minerals applied on the skin might incur.

I'm glad you're pushing those boundaries, I dress rather unconventionally myself, I like to suit myself when it comes to clothes. :)  I think they're such an opportunity for expression and communication.

I think most people want a freer world... they're just not sure how to get there, and conforming is so much safer and easier, or so we are lead to believe.. it's a vicious cycle.

We need fashion rebels! *smile* Especially men, who face far more restrictions and are much more oppressed in many forms of self expression in our society than women are.

For sure if someone where to create such a thing as gemstone/crystal infused mineral makeup they would have to do careful research. :) It would be quite something, I think it would have huge appeal, I think many people might like the idea of real ruby on their lips.. etc. even if it's only in a very small trace amount.

I do remember seeing 'pearl' cream with real pearls crushed into it.
