Clear your head and ask yourself what’s stopping you. What’s keeping you stuck in place? Are you overthinking everything? If so, it might be time to bring things down a notch and make a decision. Sometimes doing that is all it takes to loosen your restraints and set you free.

ps - when we do a reading we ask the client to remain silent throughout, from beginning to end, no names, no birthdays, nuthin!

we especially ask that they not ask any questions aloud.

we prefer as little leading information as possible from a client.

read like the devil may be one of the better books on tarot reading, but we'll have to actually read it to know for sure...

the approach described in the review is certainly correct, but we are concerned by the remark about using only three cards.

yeah, three cards are all that's needed for a single-question approach, but that seems to fail to deal with the escalating complexity of a mesh topology when more cards are added in...

the number of cards in a tarot deck is even part of the sequence of numbers in that escalation pattern so maybe that's a clue that this is indeed the right way to do it.

the escalation of the simplest levels of complexity examines the basic number of relationships between the cards.

cards ----------- 1, 2, 3, 4.. 5.. 6.. 7.. 8.. 9.. 10.. 11.. 12...

relationships - 1, 2, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 36, 45, 55, 66, 78....

3 cards, 3 relationships, easy-peasy.

10 cards, 55 relationships.

and we like to read an entire deck and have even used two or more decks...

the more conventional layouts feature ten cards and a minimum 55 different relationships among them.

the number of relationships then go up from here even more rapidly because each relationship is really multi-dimensional.

sticking to three card layouts is like exploring the ocean with a dinghy.

also, sticking to a question-and-answer format is lame because the question is a reveal to the reader that does all the work for them.

however, the technique described in reading like the devil is the best way to begin to learn to read tarot so that you learn to look at these relationships more deeply and appreciate their value more quickly.

we have one major concern with this book and the series it is part of.

the author has chosen a title that places tarot in a dangerous light.

tarot readers might know the devil is not the adversary spoken of by some religious folk, but those religious folk do not know this and fear the devil greatly; it may be a very catchy self-serving title to make money with but its prolly not good to associate tarot readers and psychics in general with the devil.

the title of this book series may be a disservice to the entire community that places people at serious risk of reprisals from god-fearing folk who simply know no better.

still a good read, we're sure, but we'll have to pass unless someone sends us a free copy.

um on a darker note, the author may become an unwitting tool, like the author of the satanic bible.  the satanic bible actually serves christians remarkably well, it even imitates the style and character of their holy bible.

but the service of the satanic bible is benign or beneficial to christianity in a manner that harms no one, whereas read like the devil may be used to inspire some people to mischief and violence.

the content is not at fault, but the title of the book will strike a chill in many religious hearts, and anything so blatant is likely to attract a crowd.

we are very afraid this book will be picked up by fundamentalists and used as 'evidence' that psychic readers must be prosecuted by law or worse.

they won't have to read the book for evidence, the title says it all...
