Broken hearts/fractured souls

In this journey we call life, we learn quickly to adapt, to shrink ourselves to fit in. A shape shifter of sorts trying to be accepted. It can be a useful tool but also detrimental to us without us even realising it.

Every time you allow someone to hurt you, to try change you and the words "its ok" comes out of your mouth. Another piece of your soul is destroyed. If we dont express how we feel, and explain its not ok, that we feel used or betrayed or simply ignored or unnoticed we lose another piece of ourselves how many pieces of us are then left?

Dont lose sight of yourself..

As time goes on we become immune to that feeling of disappointment when they hurt us then it quickly becomes "they cant help it" to " I don't matter" its a chain reaction starting that the hurt you allow becomes more and more acceptable ... A learned behaviour... The norm!!

You see its not ok!! because you do matter, every thought feeling and emotion you have matters, because they are yours, they are valid and you do matter..

The fact that you made it into this world is a miracle, you above all the other stars in the sky made it to the you now... You are beautiful, unique, special and you have something to offer, something worth listening too.

Im so blessed to have people in my life who see me truly and love me just the way I am, and im so grateful for that and will never ever take that for granted...

Those people that have hurt you in the past should of been proud to be around you, to share their lives with you, if they cannot see how wonderful you are. Then really the reality and the ultimate truth of it is "they don't really matter" ......
