I am kindred spirit to the wild and free places

that heartbeat matches mine

There my pulse races and my love comes alive and

the fire within is replenished and burns bright and fierce.

That love let's me walk into the night and to the dark places

that shelter the greed, lies and cruelty of reality.

Like a moth drawn to flame,

My spirit is driven to rebellion and mutiny.

My love comes alive and I shadow dance in the darkness

my soul a white fire that scourges purges and consumes.

I wrote this while in that ancient cedar forest.

I am an activist for many causes in my community

I am a bit of a hermit, really. While I am active in starting grass roots projects,

every moment I get, i disappear into the shadows and woods.

I walk them, wander the rivers and replenish my flame.

I remember what I fight for
