We're Being Evicted

Well, the other shoe has dropped.  Yesterday we received a certified letter stating that because they want to renovate the house, (code for tear it all down and build a new house), it will have to be vacated by June 20th.  She CLAIMS that she sent it on April 19th but it was returned.  Well, that is patently a lie, because nobody here saw it before yesterday, the 21st.  I got busy, and filled out 2 applications, one last night, one just a few minutes ago for the SHRA (Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency).  The one last night was successful, the one a little while ago, not so much.  

Monday Len will call the VA crisis line, and I will call the Senior Legal Assistance people.  The letter might not be legal, and we may be able to buy ourselves a little more time by that.  Cross your fingers and anything else you can cross that we can, and we would appreciate all positive magick performed for a nice new place to live, hopefully one near a bus stop, since that is our way of getting around Sacramento..  

Another thing I want to do on Monday, or earlier, if I can manage it is get Tangerine certified as a therapy cat.  Cats have been known to confer various benefits on their humans.  Their purr, when lying in their human's lap, lowers the blood pressure and gives the human a feeling of intense well being.  You can't be depressed when a cat is lying on you.  Their comical antics lower the human's stress level, because any time you laugh, you lower your stress level.  I'm not making this up. Scientific clinical studies have shown this to be true.  I've discussed this with my doctors and therapist, and they told me about the studies.
