Temple Illuminatus

The Journey

The wind blows,
the rain falls.
Coats pulled together
to keep out the cold.
Heads down,
rushing about.
Grey people
in a grey street
in a grey city.
All moving
in the one direction.
No one sees
the others.
And yet one,
walks
in the opposing direction.
Held head high.
Wind pulling at her hair,
rain forming tears
down her cheeks.
Hair matted and strewn
across her shoulders.
Her back straight
and her eyes wide open.
She sees all.
She hears all.
The wind blowing
away all the cobwebs
gathered in the attic of her mind.
She gets jostled and bumped.
Yet she continues on her path.
Held held high.
Strong, couragous.
Going against the flow
of the sheep before her.
Following her own path,
her journey.
