Like any technology the television, ( and for this discussions purposes the PC ) is as good or as bad as those who have the technology at their disposal. And like any technology it changes how we live our lives on a day to day basis. And in television's case it definitely affects how we see this life we live and the lives of others.

Though I believe very little that I hear and see on TV it is at least a good indicator of HOW the Powers That Be want us to perceive and feel about any given event, whether we believe them or not (which I don't) Next question is WHY do the powers that be want us to feel and perceive certain events in certain ways. So we'll ACT in certain ways, have the desired Pavlovian response ?

These are all pretty obvious issues to a lot of us but what are YOUR ideas for preventing communication technology from turning us into clueless droids and YOUR ideas for turning the tide and using this same technology for a freer humanity.
