Affection:
Material gifts be they financial or otherwise are not a replacement of a sincere intimacy in a relationship. Be it a parent to a child, between lovers, or a dear friend. Gifts have their place on special occasions in order to create kind memories lasting a cherished life. Tokens of appreciation however welcomed can not ever give a hug or the warmth of ones heart to another. Only by offering your presence abundantly will you gain the adoration you seek. If those who truly love you, will love your company more than your material gifts. Known this and you will avoid losing a lover, losing respect of a child, and most of all losing your sense of self.
