Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...

I wish to join because I want to always continue learning, growing and expanding the depth of my knowledge and insight. In order to do that, I need to expand not only my knowledge base, but also interact with other awakened people. I found out about it through email exchanges with the website http://www.gharveyn.com/. They sent me the link.

About Myself & My Interests...

I’m a soon to be divorced female in my mid forties and I believe my “real” life is only just beginning. Truthfully my biggest interest is learning. I’m constantly looking for precious insights into how what we currently know can expand and how it all fits together into the bigger picture of our world and the universe.

My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?

I believe that we can learn from any and everyone as long as we are open minded enough to see that regardless of someone’s station in life, regardless of any of their external appearance, regardless of anything, every one has something to offer the world. For example, I have a friend whose son is autistic and is severely limited in his communication and abilities. He will never be able to live independently due to his disability. At first glance, most would think, what can I learn from him? But he is one of the purest souls I’ve ever met. He has an internal light and he actually taught me that autistic people can be empaths. His behaviors and moods when in various locations and settings made me see that he is extremely sensitive to other people’s energy, to the environment, and that his moods and reactions are not random. In fact, I suspect that autism contains a hyper awareness and hyper sensitivity to other people along with their moods, thoughts, energy, and intentions. They feel things that they do not understand and cannot express. Because truthfully even if they could verbalize it, no one would listen or believe them. Anyway that’s a good example of how I learn.

Authors and/or Books I appreciate:

I mostly only read fiction. (I know, I know. I need to expand.) My favorite book is and always has been To Kill A Mockingbird. I’m such an avid reader that I really can’t keep track of all my favorite authors and books. There are much too many. Any and all that paint pictures in words that express what our heart and souls feel deep beneath the surface. Any and all that reveal parts of what lies behind the curtain of our existence. Additionally I enjoy crime, legal, and espionage thrillers that challenge my brain to figure things out.

Musicians and/or Music I appreciate:

I have extremely eclectic tastes in music. I can enjoy an opera scene sung so exquisitely that I cry just as well as a hip hop or popular rap song. Pachebel in Canon D or Demi Lovato. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Films and/or Film-Makers & Actors I appreciate:

I rarely watch tv or movies. Although there are some movies that I have enjoyed. However not enough to be at the forefront of my mind.

Artists and/or Art I appreciate:

Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Degas, Picasso, I’m attracted to art that celebrates the beauty of our world whether it be a painting of the night sky, a woman’s naked back, a black and white photograph of a city street, or a strangers face
