- Why I wish to join The Temple & how I found out about it...
- I did a search on what an urban shaman was and found your article. It resonated with me and helped me understand myself a bit better. So decided I'd like to have access to a potentially rich spiritual resource to help me understand myself and the world and the inner worlds better.
- About Myself & My Interests...
- Reading, Tango dancing, listening to music and playing role playing games on my xbox one. Usually ones where through acts of selflessness my character leaves the world in a better place than it was before he passed through. Not for self aggrandisement but because I believe in serving the world you serve yourself.
- My Teachers & Influences, What was it about them that influenced me?
- Their wisdom, ability to adapt their teaching methods so everyone learned, dedication, fierceness of belief in what they were doing, their passion. I could go on further but I'd like to go onto the next question!
- Authors and/or Books I appreciate:
- Neal Donald Walsch, Richard Bach, Don Miguel Ruiz, Sogyal Rinpoche, the current and I hope not the last Dalai Lama, Kahlil Gibran, Robert Bly, Steven Erikson, Sir Terry Pratchett (May he rest in peace), Neil Gaiman.
- Musicians and/or Music I appreciate:
- Trance, Jack Johnson, John Butler Trio, BT, Scott Huckabay, Des're, Jeff Buckley, Depeche mode...but their later stuff. XTC. Everything But The Girl. Much depends on how I'm feeling. But I really like things with complex melodies...listen to the album Peace Dance by Scott Huckabay and you'll have a pretty good idea what I'm talking about.
- Films and/or Film-Makers & Actors I appreciate:
- The animated disney Hercules (The measure of a true hero is not the size of their strength but by the strength of their heart), LOTR, The Fifth Element, Dark City,.
- Artists and/or Art I appreciate:
- Not a huge fan of art to be honest but I do really like Monet and how his work changed in direct correlation to his vision as a result of cataracts.
