It's a pleasure, Pepper, no need to thank me and your kind words are much appreciated :)

The thing about the 42 Ideals of Ma'at and other Goddess affirmations is that we can put these into practice whatever religion or tradition we may adhere to. The 42 Ideals are the oldest known set of spiritual Ideals and transcend all boundaries, as Ma'at is a Cosmic Goddess .I have added some of my  Goddess Lilith affirmations as well into the picture.

In ancient Egypt people would have a very personal relationship with Divinity, and in the course of a lifetime  may have venerated many different aspects of the Divine. That is why in Pagan spirituality, one may venerate and work with many aspects of the Divine, both male, female and androgynous in appearance and of myriad forms. 

The Old Religion, which was universal, was not a religion which was fear-based, instead people were encouraged to live the life they loved and chose individually how to honour their own special Goddesses and Gods , and their Ancestors. These are Ideals to be lived up to rather than to be severely punished for, should any one of the Ideals be slipped up on every now and again.

To me, the most profound thing I ever was taught about the Ideals, is that when a person is in the Hall of Judgement and fails miserably on many of the 42 Ideals, all represented by separate Deities ~ and it is in the balance as to whether that soul would be delayed and have to be purified and taught lessons again or would advance with no problems and proceed to the Afterlife or Summerlands ~ if just one other person that knew the deceased genuinely missed her/him with their heart after they had died , that balance would be tipped in a favourable way. 

The Ancients believed in the Afterlife, so much that a person's entire lifetime was spent preparing for the passage to the Underworld and with the ultimate goal of sitting face to face with the Gods in the Afterlife, eating and drinking the same food and drink and dressing in the same sacred garments.

Instead of being motivated to do anything through fear , a person would choose to take responsibility for their own actions and in so doing, become a citizen of the Universe.
