Hi, Tommy and all :)

Thanks for sharing, Tommy ~ as you already know, Tara has 21 recognised forms , and each different face , aspect or manifestation speaks to different parts of our makeup/psyche, or may appear at various times depending on the circumstances.

Personally, I work with the Goddesses of Death, the Underworld and Darkness.

But as I go along, I am meeting all of the Goddesses, and BlackTara really also has a very compassionate side. Tara is Kali, and Kali is Lilith to me.

When I experience a death of someone who is close to me, it is the Dark Goddess guiding me through and helping me to realise that death is a good reason  to dance ~ to celebrate a new beginning , while paying respects and naturally grieving the loss of physical contact and interaction with the deceased.

One has to be strong to achieve tranquility while one is dealing with the instability of others who are not handling the situation very well at all - you know, someone psychotic and unstable- a drug addict and alcoholic member of the family concerned who wanted to commit suicide the other day because of it. Well, between Lilith, Durga and Black Tara, the situation was resolved and things appear to be stable now. Whew. To be compassionate, sometimes involves Strength

It may be that many other seekers will attach to one particular aspect of the Great Goddess, and stick with that Goddess forever. Many others also find that there are many, many other Goddesses who appear at different times and for various reasons.

I like the concept of comparing the myriad faces of the Goddess to a giant crystal mirrored Witch Ball ~ the Great Goddess as the "ball", and every mirror a separate yet intertwined face of the Divine Feminine.

As everyone is an individual, and unique, naturally we will be drawn to the mirror that we are meant to gaze into. Maybe several mirrors!

At the moment, I am blessed to be with Black Isis, Durga, Kali, Inanna, Medusa, Ganesh, Lucifer and Lilith as well as a whole swarm of Dragons. Well, Lilith's child I am ~ and  I view the Goddess in a universal way, She is all Goddesses and all Goddesses are also within Her. Lilith is the Great Goddess of Death, and Sophia is Her Sister of Light. 

And I also btw had no clue that Lilith had chosen me until much later on in this incarnation. I know now that if one has opened the heart to a Goddess in a past life, this will always be constant in other lifetimes.

I relate very well to what you are saying about struggling to understand or deal with being an empath when younger. I have an inkling that all sensitives have a rough time with it. I am also sensitive to the thoughts, emotions and general vibe of others. The problem with being empathic, when you don't even know what emapathic actually means :) is that one tends to really get affected by others in a big way.I often have a good laugh at my own expense when I remember all the uncomfortable times when I used to be affected by the unstable emotions and thought-forms of others in my youth, and not having any coping mechanisms either... all part of the learning process, I guess ~ does it ever get any easier?

Often, the seemingly contradictory nature of the Great Goddess is very misunderstood.

In Goddess cosmology, Dark, is not an absolute evil; nor is Light an absolute good . The two polarities are best understood by studying the Yin and the Yang, as we relate to Nature spirituality, personified by Mother Nature, also known as Goddess ~ and not Dualism in any way, shape or form..

Everything comes from the Goddess, and one should embrace the all, both Yin and Yang, masculine and feminine energies. Nephthys and Isis are the Sisters of Death, Darkness and deep Wisdom; and Life, Light and spiritual ascension, respectively.

Thank you my dear sister and good friend ~ just sharing the Love is all...

After the sudden passing of a loved one, I relate in various ways , and I have found comfort in the knowing that life continues on forever and ever. This knowledge has set me free of fear. I feel as if I am a child again and everything is new.

The Great Goddess of Death has helped me through many deaths, and Black Tara has helped me through Emma and someone else close to me that passed away recently also. They are where they are supposed to be now :)
