The Triple Goddess

This is a group to honour the Great Goddess in all of Her many aspects, and by myriad Names, as Maiden, Mother and Crone.

To reconnect with the Divine Feminine - the Goddess archetype and Her three faces, is vitally important in order to restore the essential Balance that humankind has been struggling without for the last couple of thousand years.

Goddess Chant - Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hekate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna... The Triple Goddess welcomes you!

"Trying to understand the archetypal image of the Goddess can be the work of a lifetime. When one realizes that She is both a single archetypal Entity and also a trinity of aspects, the understanding becomes more complex. Complex, but clearer in many ways and more comprehensive. For the Goddess is everything to all of Her creations, and especially to both women and men.

She is the beginning and the ending and everything in between"

I just live and let live, Tommy ~ if you query my profile name, be assured that it changes all the time, hope you can keep up!
There are as many paths to the Divine Feminine as there are individuals, and it doesn't matter at all what anyone may think about it, either.
But then, with all your experience, which really seems like several lifetimes rolled up into one, you would know that, surely.
Live in Love!
and,
Blessed Be

Palden Lha-Mo; the Dalai Lama's Patron Goddess

Comment by Zephonith Serpent Woman on May 30, 2012 at 3:34pm

Hi, Tommy,

Yes, a dog is definitely our best friend! Though many do not give any animal the same respect as another human (and then again, that's not saying much, either?)

The Terrible Mother is the hardest aspect, or face, of the Goddess to really understand. There is a reason why the title, Terrible Mother. This Name is assigned to Binah, Quabalistically speaking, and well, to be true, it is the Name of the Dark Mother.

That Deity will definitely scare away any idiot who thinks to cause harm to those who are with Goddess lol

I am fascinated by the Tibetan Deities ~ Maha-Kala and Maha-Kali; Sridevi;

Tara in many forms;and Yama, Lord of Death

We can easily see how the Tibetan and Indian indigenous Goddesses and Gods were interpreted as being demonic, and evil, by the early Patriarchs.

In fact, the early Jewish Rabbis equated Lilith with Kali, and worked the Goddess into the Judeo-Christian mythos as the female devil. They were right about Lilith being Kali, but were and are still very mistaken to equate Goddess with their devil.

Another Goddess whom I resonate with is Palden Lha-Mo, or D'Magzor Rgyal-Mo.

Lha-Mo is the Patron Goddess of the Dalai Lama.

is Kali. Well, that is the way I see it, that all Goddesses are One Great Goddess.

The outer characteristics of the Terrible Mother, astride the Pillar of Severity, are very frightening to many at first because of the associations that come from fear-based socialisation and programming,

For example, many Bengalis who still maintain the traditional worship of Kali, see vampirism as completely normal, however, this is in the context of, not an evil demon as portrayed by Bram Stoker et al, but akin to the Dark Goddess consuming the demons who threaten to disrupt the Universe. Kali absorbed the energies of all of the demons, as this was the only way to defeat them, and the only real Vampires with Kali, are "good" vampires.( a highly evolved and spiritual Edward Cullen genre , if you like?) Often the Death Goddess is accompanied by a retinue of Spirits who fulfill a purely protective and judicial role.

Kali has sharp. pointed fangs, which actually symbolise purity, as they are very white in colour, and the Truth, which is sharp and to the point. Kali is not the demon goddess that some view this Goddess and others such as Goddess Lilith, to be!

Kali is Black, because Black is symbolic of the Earth and the deep abyss of infinite space and potential ` Kali-Ma consumes all things, even Time Himself ~ Maha-Kala is Time ` so the Goddess works on a Cosmic level, SHE is not a minor demon.

What many don't understand is that Kali is the Great Goddess , and as all things come from the Goddess, all things return. Kali is the Vortex, or the Antimatter that consumes all , and gives new birth and Life into the Cosmos again in turn Kali is depicted with four pairs of arms to signify the blending of Female and Male Principles, and is the Androgynous Goddess of many Names ~ Kali offers the warmest and most intense mothering and protective nature, and, if one trains the eye to see the symbolism of the Dark Goddess correctly, as it is meant to be; the outward fearsome characteristics can be accepted as, not evil, but quite exactly the opposite :)

Thanking you for your insightful comments, Tommy

Blessed Be

One of the most satisfying moments in my past, was when my three staffies gripped onto a would-be rapist and his friend as they were trying to attack my girlfriend one day while I was off at work. I didn't see it happening, but the shoes and tattered pieces of t-shirt they left behind them spoke a million words. If my canine companions weren't there at the time, my friend would have definitely joined the ranks of women who have been gang-raped by low-lives.

Hi, everyone ~ I really like that pic!

Many people shy away form the darker aspects of the Goddess, as they see notions of "demonic evil" as being the same as Darkness.

Well, nothing could be further from the Truth.

Allow me to explain, to avoid any further confusion which may result from concepts of Light and Darkness, while touching on the subject of Dogs, a Goddess sacred animal, and never demonic in the sense of an evil entity!

Hekate is associated with dogs and other canines, as are many other Goddesses, including Lilith, who actually manifests as a large black dog on occasion. Goddess Diana's devotees are known as the Wolves of Diana, and the Goddess is often depicted with a large pack of dogs and wolves accompanying Her wherever She goes.

Anyone familiar with the Tarot will realise that in archetypal terms, dogs represent the guardian, the warning voice, and literally ,"man's best friend"; while the wolf , sitting opposite the dog, represents the inner wild, and the darker, or wilder side. Yet, every dog, no matter how tame, has an inner wolf, and that can never be denied forever. For it is only when we can look within and fully accept the dark as well as the light, the Yin equally honoured within, as is the Yang ~ that we can advance.

Perhaps the most famous mythological dog, goes by the name of Cerberus. This dog is unique amongst hounds, as he has three heads, belongs to Goddess Hekate, and guards the entrance to the Mysteries of the Divine

Feminine from unwelcome and ignorant intruders.

And indeed, to the uninitiated, Goddesses such as Medusa, Lilith and Ereshkigal, are "evil", and fearsome, as are their animal companions, such as Serpents, Lions, Jackals, Bats and Hyenas, for example.

It is only after losing the fear, and living in love , that the veil is lifted and the deeper mysteries open to the seeker.

Dogs are chosen as guardians for very valid reasons. Dogs can smell something rotten from a mile away, sense danger approaching, detect vibrations, and discern between auras. Added to this, Dogs are fierce and loyal defenders of those they love; and can be counted uopn for a great many tasks that huimans are not capable of doing.

Dogs are innocents, as are all animals. It is only through the efforts of misguided humans that dogs are seen as unclean, savage, or demonic.

Goddess devotees do not recognise any concepts of allying with demons, rather , we are working with Daemons, and really, these are two very different Beings altogether.

Who knows, maybe your dog is your Agathodaemon, your beneficial, guiding Spirt in disguise? Or perhaps, just a being who loves you with all of her/his heart, and will do anything to protect, love and serve the needs of an equally loving human companion.

Justice is never "nice" for those who are guilty of offences against Goddess, and all of Her creations. Period.

Nature is never always good, sweet and "nice" ~ there is always a balance between light and dark in Nature, not true?

There is no "struggle between good and evil" in this company, only, seeking the essential balance that is of Mother Nature, the Great Goddess.

Peace,

and, Blessed Be

Cerberus, sacred canine companion and guardian Spirit of Divine Mysteries

Sic em, Buster!!!

Love you unconditionally! Be safe, and Live in Love :))
