-lavender was handed down through the ages, and long ago, had another meaning, as it was a necessity in every day life. it’s medicinal properties have been used for centuries.
-the plant belongs to the lavandula genus.
-the plant needs full sunlight and well-drained soil to grow to it’s full beauty, but it is also a very versatile plant. it can be grown in many climates.
-the best time to plant lavender is in the spring, when the soil is at its richest.
-the spiritual qualities of lavender are:
-spiritual healing
-purification
-tranquility
-releasing tension
-promoting calmness
-lavender’s color is meant to represent feminitity, but i strongly disagree. i believe lavender is a gender neutral tone, but that’s none of my business. they also mean:
-wealth
-wisdom
-emotional awareness
put a few drops of lavender in a boiling pot of water. stand over the pot and deeply inhale the scent. it promotes good sleep and beautiful dreams, but also helps with shooing away a headache.
-disclaimer: please do not use herbal healing for issues that are far more serious. a bandaid won’t fix a broken bone, and lavender won’t fix a chronic migraine.
