Hello there Knox, I do a little of both but when my back brothers me a lot I do it as theurapedic. When I focus on drawing I become tunnel visioned and block everything else out. The time seems to fly by quick when I enjoy drawing. I've been working on this piece for amonth so far. I already have this one sold which I like.
If you are in pain Knox... mentally or physically grab a paper and pencil and start with sone circles and wavy lines and before you know it you are creating something which starts a relaxation process which lowers your blood pressure and makes you smile.
Thus making it a happy day!
