Kaperosa -
A spirit from the Philippines, the Kaperosa is the ghost of a woman who has returned to complete unfinished business. She wears a white dress and has long black hair, and in some sightings she either has no face or a face covered in blood. There are many origin stories of Kaperosa spirits. They can be the spirits of women who committed suicide after their husbands betrayed them or women who have been raped and killed. The most well known Kaperosa is often sighted in Quezon City and she is the spirit of a young woman who was raped and killed by two Japanese soldiers during World War II.
There have been no stories of a Kaperosa being intentionally malicious but they have been known to cause quite a few car accidents. She will appear in the backseat of cars which frightens the drivers when they look in their rearview mirror and causes them to crash. They have also been sighted in empty buildings, near forests and on cliffs. They stay in a particular place, usually the place where they died or something horrible happened to them.
It is believed that Kaperosas are trying to get help from the living to complete their unfinished business so they can rest in peace.
