Use this spell to create order and balance in your life. If you are feeling like you can't find your center or are out of balance, do this working. You will need each of the fours from any tarot deck: four of wands, four of swords, four of cups, and four of pentacles. You will also need a small white chime candle and a picture of yourself.Place the cards down flat on your altar with the cards creating a compass of the directions that correspond with the tarot suits: wands to the south, swords to the east, cups to the west, and pentacles to the north. Place the picture of yourself in the center of these four directions. Safely light the candle and speak your desire for balance out loud. If you can't think of what to say, say this:Balance and centeredness I seek with the four elements holding me. I am grounded and centered. As I will it so mote it be. When you are done, snuff out the candle.
February 3 is Feed the Birds Day, which the birds will especially appreciate if it's wintertime right now where you are, as food may be scarce. Consider this day not only an opportunity to help out your local wildlife by offering them a buffet, but also a fun way for your magic to take flight. If you're looking to draw abundance, inspiration, and creativity into your life, create a sigil that details exactly how and what that looks like for you. Keep the shape fairly simple, so it's easy for you to reproduce on a larger scale. Acquire some area appropriate birdseed that your local fauna will benefit from. Use the seed to draw your sigil on the ground near your home and call for the birds to come. Walk away from the sigil without looking back. The birds will eat the seeds and simultaneously take your intentions out into the world on their wings.Note: Please check to see if there are any restrictions in your area concerning birds and safeguarding them from disease before implementing this spell.
On the morning of Imbolc, go outside with a plate, a yellow tealight candle, and a small cup of milk. Put the plate on the ground or on an outdoor table or altar, and place the candle in the center of the plate. Light the candle and gaze at the flame as you take some moments to think back on the past month or two and reflect on the hardships as well as the blessings. Think of the good things you enjoyed during this time period, and let a feeling of gratitude fill your heart. Pour the milk slowly onto the plate around the candle, creating a little moat of milk. Touch your fingertips to the milk and send into it your feelings of gratitude, and express your specific wishes for the good fortune you want to receive in the coming weeks. Let the candle burn down, then pour the milk on the earth as you say:I am nature! I am blessed!
If you can, perform this spell within an hour of the full moon for maximum potency, but any time within twenty-four hours of the full moon will do.You will need a piece of paper, something to draw with (pencil, markers, colored pencils, etc.), and a surface to draw on. Find a quiet place to perform the spell, preferably where you have a decent view of the moon.Think of what you wish to manifestandmdash;good fortune, better health, a new job, etc. Envision yourself manifesting your desire and the ways that manifestation will improve your life. In the light of the full moon, draw what you will manifest. It could be simple stick figures, symbols, words, or more detailed artwork, depending on your skills. Once you've finished, fold the paper so that the drawing faces inward, capturing the moonlight in the drawing.Store the drawing in the place where your desire will manifest (for example, in your wallet for money, in the bathroom for health, in a desk drawer at work for a promotion, etc.) until the next full moon. Repeat as necessary.
In January of 1363, the first recorded sumptuary laws were enacted in England. The laws aimed to restrict what people could wear, eat, and purchase based on their class or station. It's purported that the laws were both religious and secular and had a disproportionately harsh impact on women and people who were poor. Go figure! So this spell is about thumbing your nose at the various authorities in your life seeking to control you. There are multiple ways to do this magic. I'll give you one primary example and a bonus example, and you run with it from there. Fix your hair the way you adore. Wear those heels, those sneakers, that dress, that beloved concert T-shirt from that one band no one else likes, those leather pants, or whatever you have that best expresses who you are (or want to be). If you can, wear them out proudly. If that's not an option, parade around in private, saying repeatedly:You're not the boss of me!The alternate version of this spell involves creating (or buying) the most sumptuous meal you can reasonably afford and savoring it slowly and purposefully.
