The folklore of the Australian Aborigines is full of Serpents. The most well-known Serpent, Julunggul, is seen as both creative and destructive aspects. The Rainbow Serpent appears whenever a rainbow curves over the horizon, and is associated with fertility and rainfall, all weather conditions as well as being intricately intertwined in the lives of the people, appearing as a central spiritual symbol in art and folklore.

The legends of people entering the mouth of the Dragon to receive enlightenment, are common to all ancient civilizations.Just think of Dercento/Jonah and the Leviathan/Whale, for example.
This speaks of a spiritual initiation process, and is the one reason why so many ancient Temples worldwide, from the Americas to China, would have Dragons at the entrances.
The tale in the video is of two brothers who seek refuge within Mother Nature, appearing as the Serpent. They enter into the mouth of the Serpent, and live on within, as they transform into beautiful birds, becoming enlightened and having souls in the form of birds. This speaks of the Initiation process through Nature, to become as One with all living things in the Universe.
The other people, thinking the worst, as they don't understand, interfere with the Serpent and cut Her side open to "release" the two missing brothers, who simply fly off, completely transformed, into the distance over the swaying palm trees.
Interfering with Nature, and trying to rule over Mother Nature by force, will end in disaster for humankind.
The Ancients knew that in order to become a complete reflection of the Divine, we should strive for Balance within and without. By accepting the interconnectedness of all things, one realises that it is the same energy that flows within and through all living things. This understanding alone opens the mind and heart to every other being, no matter what they may look like.
As we become closer to Nature, we learn again to follow the example of the Ancients and work with the forces of Nature rather than against, which will inevitably end in disaster. .
