  The Film Is Always Rolling

 

   My old friend

   I see you in this freeze frame

   From the film eternal always rolling

   How far we have traveled

   From those summer shadows

   Did you become unraveled

   Like I did (for a while at least)

   When the old landmarks crumbled

   

   My old friend

   The film is always rolling

   But those freeze frame moments

   Those happy reference points

   Those flashback scenes

   Have never turned

   To chains
