you don't always have to die

to spend time in heaven

sometimes it falls

soft and silent

A plethora of perfect pearls 

draped around my neck

seems like heaven to me

ice cream on a hot day 

is heaven to me~~ slurp

playing in the snow 

throwing snowballs 

making snow angels 

is heaven to me

                                       frozen droplets of snow

                                        on my branches.

                                         i look  around as i

                                        see snow gently fall

                                         fall,  falling

                                          softly upon

                                          the ground.

                                         

                                         In the distance i see

                                       kids with there sleds

                                       sledding down a hill

                                     laughing and squealing

                                     until they are too tired to play.

                                        so they lay down upon the snow

                                            looking up at the stars and at

                                           awe of there day.

I cannot sleep

     I'm trying, feel like crying

Always sighing

When I'm wakeful in the night.

My sleeplessness is nuisance

And frustration and elation

And I'm writing it all down

For no one's eyes.

I'm thinking of my loss

But feeling lost because

The loss seems so unreal and

Wrong and silly and impossible to bear and yet,

It's not.

No anger. No hostility.

No anything that fits

All the imagery inside of me

Is living, breathing, laughing,

Words of wisdom and of love.

Words of happiness and tenderness

and fun

and fun

and fun...

Is it done?

Are you gone?

Is it wrong to wake this long?

If I'm vigilant and diligent,

Persistant and insistent,

Will I finally connect with

What, and

Who, and

Where you are?
