I watched the movie "Wall Street (Money Never Sleeps)" the other night and though I know it was a movie the depiction of the callous disregard the "movers and shakers" of the world economy have for those victimized by their GREED was pretty accurate. MOLOCH TOWN is a poem I wrote a few years back but the meaning remains the same.

spot on dear marK. love the black & white pic & music that u used with ur poem.  that sad destroying state called greed, higher stock values at all costs, does suck the life from all in the name of money. not that i'm against companies getting a profit, but not at the insanity that they "hunger" after. ((hugs))

Thanks M as always for your comments. I have watched formerly thriving neighborhoods ( which always included a variety of small businesses) destroyed by the Wal-Mart mentality. Our government has been very complicent in this process (via eminent domain and tax breaks for the very rich) which indicates to me most of them are shareholders of some sort in Greed Inc.  marK

i think ur right sweetie...sad 2 say...but it's true...i would love everyone 2 c what is really going on behind the seens...all the kick backs...not always, but much of the time i feel that it is.

There was a time when these unmistakeable landmarks, annoying and embarrassing eyesores to the tourism industry, only littered and proliferated in Third World countries.

Now they practically cover the entire earth--and still growing, layers upon layers, they pile upon each other, like a 21st century high-rise condo, far surpassing the Tower of Babel, and proudly proclaiming to high heavens, "look at our handiwork, see what we've done."

Heaven's response is graphic, and is one of the major arcana in the Tarot, the lightning struck Tower.

And the Tarot, as many who use it will attest, can be oracular, prophetic.

Though I have never owned a house I have always been lucky to find rental property owned by private owners who still had a conscience whereas the corporate owned rentals are a dismal "take it or leave it" affair where you can wait weeks to get basic repairs (leaky roofs, bad plumbing, broken furnaces).  Corporate landlords are as a rule "absentee" landlords who seldom, if ever, see the ugly, crumbling places they collect rent on. These folks got a big load of bad Karma coming their way.

Thanks always Jose for your comments.  marK
