i saw a billboard for the rapture and i didn't know that it was serious i thought it was just a billboard for a talk on judgement day...wacky....localized rapture...the middle class...lol

It is interesting, isn't it. Churches taking out billboard ads.

I just sincerely hope there are no suicidal actions taken by any groups or individuals.

agreed... :)  I sense something energetic.  I feel it.  But not on any apocalyptic level like the end of the world or a rapture.  I'm still watching  and seeing.  Feeling rather optimistic right now. :D

I agree, I may be making light of this, and joking about it. However the reality is it doesn't matter if a belief is only held by one person, or a small group, or a large group of people. They are valid beliefs for those people at that time.

I believe all beliefs have validity, and serve a purpose in our lives. I think when a group gets very vocal about beliefs they have that go against the mainstream it's natural for some others to feel alarm and wonder. Humour is a way in part of exploring and saying, hey, what IS this about?

It's interesting how we process things as a culture. I would love to hear more from rapture believers post rapture... in terms of how they interpreted their experience as believers.

I can only determine the validity of my own reality, I'm not qualified to determine the validity of others.

You know, I will have to say.  Today was a very enjoyable day.  I spent time here having fun, with keeping in touch and chatting about this day and what it represents or did not.  I've meet some amazing people and I think we had a blast.  Today has been an all around..good day.  So yep... I'm in agreement.  today has been a wonderful for coming together. :)
