Ma’at is also known as Maet, Mat, Maht, Maa and Maat. Her Name literally means Truth, or "That which is straight"
Ma’at personifies Truth, Justice, fairness, universal order and cosmic equilibrium. Maat is the daughter of Ra, the Sun God and Universal Master; and the wife of Thoth, the God of Wisdom.
Ma’at is the embodiment of integrity and no-one can fool this Goddess ~ Maat will know all about the true character of any person. Invoke Ma’at to avoid individuals who intend harm and for protection against any lower energies in bad situations. However, only approach Maat if your motives are pure; or the Goddess will set you through purification trials Herself! Otherwise, one may choose to practice rituals, affirmations and lifestyle changes and endear oneself to this cosmic Divinity of amazing grace and sublime beauty.
Maat does not judge, She is the Truth itself.
Ma’at is the integrity that binds the world together; controlling cosmic phenomena and maintaining the balance of the universe. The deities feed on Ma’at so as to be able top maintain the universal harmony personified by Her. The feeding of or on Deities means simply partaking of their essence, or drawing divine knowledge to convert into wisdom to be applied in life.
Offerings to Ma’at are an important part of the daily activities of a devotee, as to neglect these could possibly throw the balance of one’s own universe off. In macrocosmic terms, this is why Deities also offer daily affirmations to Ma’at !
The ancients knew these Laws to be true;
~ Everything comes from Chaos, or Nun
~ Everything returns to Chaos if not maintained
~There is Chaos in Order, or Ma'at
~ There is Order in Chaos.
Chaos is none other than the Tao, or Great Mother; NUN. Chaos is known as Tiamat, as the Greater Kali-Maa and the Greater Lilith, and She is the infinity of the Abyss, or watery realm of the part of the sea, or Universe, that we cannot see. This is the Potential or Darkness from which all things of light come, and return again.
Maat possesses the universal Scale of Balance which ensures Equilibrium in a sea of Chaos.
Ma’at really personifies morality and Her worship is compulsory . Even if one denies the existence and power of Ma’at, it matters not. Ma’at is Cosmic Justice, and everyone, whether god, king or human has to live according to the Universal laws and learn from their experiences.
To neglect Ma’at is to invite dischord and self-destruction. Ma’at is the Tao; the Middle Pillar of Equilibrium and the Balance between Yin and Yang energies.
As a Goddess incarnating a Cosmic Principle; Ma’at had no formal Temples dedicated to Her.Instead, Ma’at is everywhere, in every sanctuary, and Her feather is omnipresent.
The Goddess speaks ~
“Everyone possesses magical abilities, and for a younger woman, the key lies in being very attuned to her menstrual cycle.
As she practices building greater harmony with the cycles of the moon and realizes their connection to her flow, she will become “Moonstruck” and open herself to a shift that unleashes practical and esoteric abilities ~ both of which will create in her a beautiful confidence only seen in great displays of feminine energy.
The big cats, for instance, are unapologetic about their power. They’re enchanting because they put their full force in each step.
For men and women who are not of childbearing age, the cycles of the moon do not have such obvious marks, yet we’re all still affected. Anyone - even spirits - within the gravitational pull of this planet will feel the sway that the moon creates.
Pay exquisitely close attention to your relationship with the moon, this great source of light. Visit her often. You will find her to be a source of magical abilities that will give you important messages.”

I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Janet. A good way of becoming acquainted with Ma'at is to familiarize oneself with the 42 Ideals of Maat.
There are various versions of these Ideals, and the version which is mostly drawn from in modern times is the one I have posted in another discussion here. These are the Ideals as interpreted and transliterated by modern Priestesses of Isis, making them more in line with our contemporary lifestyles .
