Life is a Spiral

The spiral is to be found in all things in Nature, from the shape of the Milky Way Galaxy, and the countless other Galaxies that exist in the universe; to the seashells,

and flowers, none of which are identical to any other.

As we all come from the Goddess, the Source and Destiny of all things, the sacred spiral is within and without; the microcosm within the macrocosm; and we are all reflections of the Divine.

The Spiral is the first sacred geometrical form, as all other geometrical shapes and forms originate with it. We can see sacred geometry in all things, especially in Nature spirituality's rich symbolism.

Thus, it is not surprising that the spiral is intimately connected with Goddess worship through the ages, as being central to the Mysteries, and wonderfully portrayed in art and song.

The Spiral is a symbol of Infinity, and so it is representative of the endless cycles of Life and Death, and the two interlocking Spirals of the Yin~Yang.

The Yin trigram describes the Goddess as the Fertility Mother , the Womb of Potential ; and also as Goddess of Death . The ancients viewed the Goddess’ dual nature, not as split between notions of good and evil; but as the essential nature of Goddess, as representing the Cycles of Life and Re-birth.

The line can be traced, from Lilith to Tiamat and Kali; to Medusa and Aphrodite , our Goddess of Death and Fertilty.
Just as Life is a Spiral, so too is Death ~ for every particle of matter, there is another of anti-matter~ for every Spiral that generates new Life and re-birth, there is another which absorbs all Life.

Probably the best allegory to describe this, is the legend of the Dark Creatrix of the Indian sub-continent, Kali ~Ma. Kali~Ma, and The Terrible Mother, The Death Goddess Kali, is known as The Consumer of All, even Time itself.

Time is Maha-Kala, also known as Shiva, or Lucifer. Maha-Kala is consumed by Maha-Kali, and thus is part of the Goddess.

The primal, awesome , terrifying, destructive and all-consuming Kali ,  of course, actually has a very benign, Motherly nature ~ the initiated person can see through the terrible visage and sees the Goddess through different eyes ~  although She destroys the demons who threaten to disrupt the natural order of the Universe and protects Her devotees from harm and the ill intent of others.

Both Kali and Her consort, Shiva, are sometimes pictured with four sets of arms, indicating an essentially Androgynous nature. One set of hands offers gifts, courage, strength , resolve, prosperity and peace, among many other gifts; the other side is laden with weapons of destruction. One side thus signifies abundance and Life, the other, annihilation, change , endings and Death.

Again, we can see the ancient symbol of the Yin-Yang, presented in a unique fashion by means of imagery ~ as pictures do speak a thousand words.

So, how can we use this knowledge in everyday life? Let’s have a look at how the spiral relates to ourselves and the universe, with a brief introduction to Sacred Geometry ~ which is said to be the language of the Divine.

Wow what a well written and comprehensive piece here dearest.  I have to agree with you about the spirals....we see them all over Europe here in ancient artifacts and artwork.  I thought I would share some examples here....

These brooches show both the geometry mentioned in the videos and also the spirals and the second one dates to 4th Century BC.

Even weapons had this elaborate artwork on it as in this shield found in the Thames in London known as the Battersea Shield.

Much of this art work can be seen right across Europe from the north... Nordic countries down to Spain.  Its odd when people talk about Celts they automatically think of Ireland and yet, these people, this period of time, was known right across Europe....including French, Germanic and Spanish tribes....also incorporating the British Isles and the Nordic countries.

Thanks, dear sister , well, that brooch is so elaborately designed, and the shield ~ the Spiral does show up all over pre-ancient art , and continues over the ages to the wonderful portrayals of ther Spiral in Sacred Geometry, which is really ancient knowledge that is being re-discovered by the most advanced mathe-magickians of our time such as Albert Einstein and David Hudson et al ~ because our distant ancestors definitely knew all about the principles of sacred geometry , and how to use these far more effectively than humankind has managed to do in the current Age so far.

The Pyramids were perfectly aligned to the Cardinal directions, and form a virtual map of the heavens, to scale, and were constucted according to the Golden mean ratio, which of course is a spiral to Infinity and occurs in all nature.

There is so much information on this topic, it's going to just have to be an ongoing thing...
