The language of Soul

We spoke the same language of the soul

 

and one night you let me enter the temple,

 

that sacred place of spirit,

 

you left the gate open for me

 

I entered softly, with great respect

 

with bare feet and shawl

 

gently my footsteps found their way

 

and my eyes beheld your light

 

Radiant with love

 

and acceptance,

 

warm with strength and wisdom.

 

And as I took in its' beauty,

 

I realized that what I saw

 

was the reflection of my own light

 

I saw all the possibilities within my own soul

 

and all the joy of my own spirit

 

Slowly and gently I did leave that place

 

And I have never been the same

This was my experience coming into love.

Many of us expect the other to "make us happy" when it should be we who make our own heaven

and then bring that whole person to the relationship.

 

Unconditional love, no expectation, just love yourself, love your other.

And when you see yourself reflected in their soul, ahhh heaven.
