I'm the creator of Temple Illuminatus, and I just wanted to take a moment to encourage our new incoming members to reach out and introduce themselves.

It doesn't have to be a brilliant essay all about you, it can just be a simple sentence saying hello and giving people a heads up that there's a new person on board.

Thank you Leila!  What I wouldn't give to explore those areas.  I would love to hear of that person's experience if they were willing to share.  Unfortunately I have only had a couple of experiences. Whether they were indeed bigfoot related is still questionable.  I would like to think they are.  I do participate in field research in the WI area.  There is a treasure trove of information on the subject out there on the subject. It is not my quest to prove they exist... only to answer my own need to know.  After looking through some of the topics and blogs.. a bigfoot section would seem so out of place here.  Maybe as I get to know more people and their interests. :D

Oh not so out of place, we have the exopolitics and UFO group, we have the Black Dogs of myth/cryptozoology group, and some generic paranormal groups... Besides, that's how the site is co-created and develops new areas of interest! We're just over 7 months old, and so still very much growing. I personally think it would be a great addition :)

I don't remember the details of the encounter my partner's friend had, I have a terrible memory, I think his friend is going through a difficult time in his life right now, and it's not really a time to ask, but I can get more details from my partner. :) 

I think there was a recent, last 5 years, quite famous sighting just outside of town on one of the local mountains as well I can scoop out the details about. See.. if you had a group I'd have two posts to share already! lol.

Hi. I am new to this site. I was on PS almost daily and got a bit tired of all the negativity. It seemed like everyone was picking and trolling at one point. I like going into discussions, not arguements ;)

I had a friend who invited me to this site and said she thought I'd like it better here :)

I don't define myself with a title to specify my belief, but I do have a very strong sense of spirituality ;)

I look forward to talking with everyone about my 'weird' experiences that 'normal people' call me crazy for :P lol

I think it's common for a lot of websites that cater to alternative communities to have tendencies to fall into patterns of 'ranting', there's a lot of stress and anger for a lot of people who have felt persecuted for being 'different' it's not unexpected that people when given the freedom to express themselves finally will want to let off some steam so to speak. Energy tends to beget like energy.. so it seems if you get a majority of people who are feeling the need to vent, it can set up a kind of negative cycle.

We try to keep things positive here, by encouraging people to 'be the change'.. it really is co-created, all communities are, what people put into them, is what people get back out of them.. a lot of times when people are 'demanding' their respect, they don't realize they've become disrespectful in the process and are actually being counter productive and working against themselves. We do occasionally get arguments going here too, but I believe most of our membership is focused on peace and conflict resolution, rather than fighting. Debate is a good thing, and it can be a fine line sometimes.

Anyways, I can ramble... lol. Well met and good to have you with us.
