10 Wheel of Fortune

People are funny.

I once witnessed customers at a casino swear they saw a pattern of RED numbers on the roulette's history board that were"due" to come up BLACK at any moment. There were about 14 RED spins and everyone was betting BLACK.

"This one's gonna be IT you watch," I heard someone shout.

The next 8 spins that followed were also RED....followed by a 9th GREEN ZERO.

Sometimes life is the roulette table. Many different variables spinning around us which in turn cause different outcomes to emerge. Is it Fate? Is it Luck? Or is there something more to Free Will the WHEEL OF FORTUNE card can teach us?

Sometimes good things happen to good people.

Sometimes bad things happen to bad people

And sometimes the opposite occurs...the good get hurt...and the bad get everything.

Why?

The Wheel of Fortune is why. Many factors are involved for just one outcome to materialize. Let's look at the roulette wheel again.

When the casino employee spins the ball around the wheel, they first have to decide on which ball to use..didn't know that did ya? There are two sizes usually (one small and one big) and they alternate whenever they feel like (usually to keep the drops random).

Once the ball is chosen, the spinner (employee) will decide on how fast to spin the wheel. Then she will flick the ball the opposite way (again always at a random speed). The ball will make many revolutions before it slows down and begins to fall, causing it to bounce off one of the "diamond" bumps and hop around the slots of numbers before finally resting into one.

Now back to the "Why" question.

 

 

Life is full of free-will choices...some you make...and some others make for themselves...AND ALSO FOR YOU (whether you want them to or not). Example: You arrive at work within 2 minutes of your start time. Your work's building has an elevator that can take you to your office on the 10th floor....or you can run up the stairs 10 floors and arrive also. You choose the elevator. Unfortunately for you the other passengers who boarded along with you are stopping on every floor to depart until your floor is reached.

 

 

 

The result: you punch in 1 minute late at the dismay of your boss, who is giving you the evil "I can't believe you're late again" stare !

 

 

 

Was this your destiny to be late? Not really.

 

You chose to get out of bed late, which caused you to leave your house late. The traffic chose to mess you up even further by having so many cars on the road to slow you down. You chose the elevator option instead of the stairs, which even though were 10 flights, could have possibly helped you just make the clock punch in time. But you didn't...and the passengers CHOSE to stop at every floor which sealed your fate as being late.

 

Wow ! Didn't really think about all that now, did we? So in comparison...when the Wheel of Fortune comes up in a reading it usually means there is a change of those variables. Upright would mean your "luck" is turning in your favor (less obstacles in your path). Reversed would mean more obstacles against you.

 

Sometimes The Wheel of Fortune can mean your life is speeding up or slowing down due to other forces around you (more career responsibilities...no career opportunities) WHICH ARE OUT OF YOUR CONTROL (because others control these variables).

 

Everything has purpose and there are always two sides for every situation. What may be unfortunate for one, may be a blessing to another. Find what side of the wheel you are on and capitalize on the moment you're in the flow, or learn how to navigate through the obstacles when the flow seems against you.

Choices are not always ours to make...but we can learn from them.
