06 The Lovers

The Hierophant has taught us to be a part of the "whole"...the "group"...plain and simply put:

PEOPLE !

A funny thing happens once you hang around people long enough...not only do they realize they like others in their group who share their interests, but they REALLY like the idea of making a sub-group of that group that only includes two of them called LOVERS (o.k....I know sometimes there's 3 or more for you polamorus ones...but you get the picture).

The Lovers card here speaks volumes to me:

Each brings their thumb and index finger half way to meet the other, forming their "heart" and bond for one another. The remaining fingers are shown but do not touch which may include each person's family and friends whom they have love for individually, but do not share at this moment. This moment is only for the TWO.

Since there are many forms of love, The Lovers may connect the other fingers together to join the "heart" silhouette if they choose to share this love (but sometimes in life, family and friends do not always stay with the lovers).

The couple is also pointing their bond toward the heavens asking for a blessing to their love.

And now we have a strong relationship built on:

The Physical Love (Hands touching)

The Emotional Love (Symbol of the Heart)

The Spiritual Love (Heart filled with the color of the heavens)

We now have...
