So today I have been getting caught up in my schoolwork since I am so behind. If I stay focused I should be all caught up today. The reason I got behind is that last week my kids had CRCT's in Rockdale (two counties over) and even though we home school them they have to take all their tests in a leadership center so the teachers can make sure they are actually learning everything. The funny thing about this is that my daughter walked out of each and every test and said "I thought they were supposed to make these tests hard!" and that made me feel like we're doing a good job of the whole home schooling thing. I must admit though that when we started down this path of teaching them I was a little (never mind A LOT) nervous about whether we could actually accomplish this, now I feel it was the best thing we could do since she now learns at her own pace. Of course that means that she is one grade level ahead now but hey, whatever keeps her interested in learning right?
