Painting, listening to music and assembling this in between bouts of art and snacking. Got me a nice cuppa Joe and an attitude and I am ready to do battle with the Wal-Martians. I have a mix CD on with some Black Sabbath cranking at the moment. I finally have made the acoustic adjustments in my living space where I can listen to music at a reasonable level without incurring the wrath and disapproval of my neighbors. I hate listening to music on headphones, it needs to travel through space a little before it gets to you. I also think we should go back to analog recording. I know that the Brian Jonestown Massacre still used tube amps in their recordings but digital will hold sway. Keep your old vinyl and CDs for that matter as I'm sure we're heading to download marketing mania if we're not there already. Music is a constant with me no matter what it is conveyed with though I'd rather have a disc with cover art than a mere download.

Art, as exemplified above, is a non-static thing and not a mere artifact.

So there....LOL

Right now the Cd is playing Cannonball by the Breeders. I liked The Pixies more though. Rock is dead in the mainstream but there's still some good stuff in the Indie camp. My taste is running to Jazz and Experimental music these days anyway so I'll just make sure I don't sell my Led Zeppelin 1 and 2 in case the feeling comes back. Still love the Stones and Velvet Underground. I think American Idol was a bad idea from the start inasmuch as it sort of has a "Pre-Fab" effect on the winning contestants rather than freeing them to develop their talent naturally.

Just one more thing and it's something that has me HOG BITIN' MAD !!!

When is America going to stand up for Pete Rose and tell the baseball powers that be that the PEOPLE KNOW who the great ball players are and that Pete deserves his rightful place in the Hall of Fame. The Commissioner or Whoever needs to unclench and admit they were wrong in their initial judgement of Pete Rose. End od story, ( and blog for that matter. Adios amigos )
