Ashley 1994-2011

 

You have been in my life since a tiny kitten.  You brought calm and happiness into our lives.  Traveled from state to state and always remained by my side.  With your purrs and slobbers and cries in the night.  I miss you Ashley.  Although you have only been gone a few short days, I miss your physical presence.

 

I will always remember the joy you brought to my life.  How you climbed the Christmas tree to get to the angel on top.  How you watched the finches from atop of their cage and gave them unwittingly nesting material for their babies.  How you soothed the savage beast in your sister Sasha and raised two Australian Shepherds from pups.

 

How I didn't know when you first arrived to me, both your mother and father: feral cats, how you would become such a fixture in our lives.  Thank you for giving me a wonderful 17 years.  I miss your physical self even though I know you are still around.
