9 of Wands (I know 'ME' better than 'YOU')

When I saw this pin by Pagan, it brought to mind the 9 of Wands...but not how it's usually shown like below:

Here it looks like the soldier has been beaten up a bit and is resting until attacked again. But that's not really the heart of the 9 of Wands.

• Refusing to take "NO" for an answer
• Holding together through force of Will
• Persevering-seeing something through to the end
• Keeping your resolve

Does this guy look like all this? Not really. Take a look at another version I found on the Web:

See...she's got a fighter's attitude ! It looks like she has the offense here...and that's what it's all about !

The human spirit...it's what separates us as top animal because our Will has been known to endure even 69 days underground in a Chilean mine, trapped like rats....and still able to keep calm and sane ! We are heroes in the face of physical danger...but what about that which traps us psychologically....Religion?

Now when I say "Religion" I don't mean how you treat others or if you are a good person or not. NO ! I am talking about believing blindly what other men or woman on this Earth....who eat, sleep, drink, defecate, and die just like the rest of us....say you should do, say, or believe ! What makes them more special than you...because they wear nice clothes? Are more popular than you? Have a 'title'? Have always 'been' right as they say?

We talk of equality but too often these religious zealots preach only they have the "Truth"...only they know the 'Way'...only they know the answers. Do they not bleed like we do? Share the same blood as ours? Then why do they continue to all be at odds with one another, fighting for converts to their belief? Why have the major religions shed gallons of blood over history trying to prove their point...that they are right....and everyone else is wrong?

Because of power !

When you are in power...you have control ! And when in control...you call the shots.

They weigh you down with guilt, rules, peer pressure, and half-truths to keep you as sheep in their pens !

But you are more than a sheep, friends ! Take a look in the mirror and see you've been a Lion all along ! They put that sheep's clothing on you...right under your nose!

They have been slowly "CONDITIONING" you to walk, talk, act, and believe as a "sheep".Why? Because a Lion won't lie down without a fight ! Only sheep will !

You are special ! Your life is just as precious as theirs. Why should you not enjoy your life on your own terms? Or do you enjoy the 'ants' crawling all over you trying to tie you down?

Take to heart the 9 of Wands! Shake off the 'Ants' that try and bite at YOUR life!

Believe what you decide to believe in....not what your parents,governments, teachers, or friends say you should ! Break free from the chains of religion and make up your own mind what is right and what is wrong !

You may find out you're a better judge of "YOU" than you think !
