8 of Swords/Shadowed (I see nothing...so there is nothing!)

 

Remember when we were young...how we could shut our eyes and it seemed the whole world would just "disappear"?

 

If we were in trouble, we hid under something so as not to be found and be punished. 

And once we grew up...we'd do the same thing.....

...close our eyes and hide from that which can hurt us....

...NO WAIT !

That can't be right...can it?

How can we hide from that which can hurt us? Won't we still be hurt?

Not Exactly ! That's what the 8 of Swords/Shadowed teaches!

When we turn a blind eye to the lies surrounding us...whether it be from THOSE supporting their religion, THOSE opposing sexual orientation, THOSE excluding racial differences, or THOSE restricting LOVE in all it's forms...we in turn SHIELD ourselves from the logic that these PERSPECTIVES preach...and by the very definition given to us by Mr. Butler, will NOT PERISH to this LOGIC. They can have no hold on our THOUGHTS or HEARTS. Oh they may clatter and clank as they scrape against the others for control of the weak-minded FOOLS that will listen to their sharp DECEIT and life-ending rules. Yes..the noise they will make...but DOMINANCE over your FREE WILL they shall LACK !
