Time

The one thing we never seem to have enough of, we can never get it back once lost or wasted and yet, we seem to try with all our might to fill it!
Me time....what does that mean? Does it mean I am selfish in wanting to do what I want? Or does it mean I am all about me, me, me?

What good am I to anyone if I am too tired or cranky or fed up to deal with other people? Not much I hear you say and you would be right!
We are so busy these days working, playing, driving, or whatever else takes up our time, what time is left to do what you really want to do?
Are you keeping busy so you don't have to look at 'real' issues? Or are you busy because you don't like to spend time alone?
I know the second one did apply to me once...and boy, I really hated spending time alone with me!!
But you know, out of a 24 hour day, how much of those 24 hours do you in doing something just for you? 10 minutes? 30 minutes? I mean really do something just because you want to...not because you think you have to!
When was the last time you went to get your hair cut, then met a friend for coffee....sat by the beach and read a book...sat in the park and just marvelled at the colours of the flowers and plant life?
When was the last time you took time to see what is it I REALLY want? To meditate?
How can you take five minutes out of your day to help someone else when you can't even help yourself by taking time out for you and catching your breath?
Shhh...I am going to tell you a big secret now....the answer to life....



Don't forget to stop and breathe. It really is this simple. Stop, breathe, see and hear. Take time to smell the flowers...to hear the wind through the trees...hear what she says to you...hear Mother Earth speak to you in her multilingual way.

And that saying is so true.  We cannot get back that which is lost....time.  We must always remember to live in the now for once this instant, this moment is passed, we can never get it back.
