Yes it is. We took her in, when her owner, a guy in the service was sent to Iran and he had no one to take care of her. She was about 4 years old in the picture. It's been a couple years now and she is 15 ft long now, but I still hold her and stroke her or put her in the tub for a soak, while Dave cleans her cage. She can be atad temperamental at times, but its a matter of readin' her body mannerisms. Like people she has days that she doesn't wanna be bothered, but for the most she's a sweetie.

I have another regular colored burmese python, that was a rescue. She was found in someone's yard in town and was brought to us. If we hadn't taken her, they would have euthanized her. She's about 3 years old now and about 9 ft long. We call her Quest.

We have 10 snakes in all now, most are old, in the 20's and one, a florida kingsnake, has leukemia and tumors. We were told that he would be dead in a year, that was about 4 years ago. All are nonpoisionous, just different kinds of constrictors. I have a website for the sanctuary at snakesncritters.org. We don't adopt out, cause ours are special needs or elderly animals. We just try to give them comfort and love before they pass on.
