The worship of the Goddess and God of Nature is incomplete without the embracing of both Yin and Yang; female and male; Night and Day, Water and Fire. A balanced spiritual seeker will know that it is within that balance that eternal happiness, contentment and prosperity on all levels manifests.
Most Gods were actually Goddesses originally ~ and as the God comes from within the Goddess; Light from Darkness; this group is here for those who understand the working of Nature, where all is equal and nothing is above any other.
The God is the consort, brother, child, husband and other half of the Great Goddess,who was First; and we are here to honour this Perfect Androgyny in male form.
Our God of Many Names is not the authoritative, stern male god of the patriarchy; rather , we venerate the Divine Masculine Principle of the Universe as the complementary Light side of the infinite Darkness in masculine form.

That's a California Black Oak. Here are some more who are much loved ~
Pin Oaks have such gentle spirits, and it's hard to find a picture of a Cork oak which hasn't been stripped of the bark to make old fashioned wine bottle corks. Why they can't just use screw tops is beyond me, but there again so are a great many things ;)

Thanks for joining the group and our merry little band in the forest!
That is the Sherwood oak tree, indeed ~ and it was a great thing to hear that the forest is now being re-established at lweast in part.
As we all know, the forest was seen by the Churchmen as a place full of dangerous Witches and outlaws, so they cut down the trees and made warships and decking and houses with them all.
Death ~ our greatest helper, the one who kisses the feet of the Goddess and teaches her all he knows before vanishing again into the mists as a specter

Who is the Horned God of Nature?
A devil, dressed as a goat?
The Skull and crossed bones is the symbol of the God in his death form.
Well, actually as the God of Death and Resurrection, for that is the inner meaning of this well-known and unfortunately infamous and misinterpreted symbol.
We see it on many older tombstones for this reason!
The Horned God teaches us that there is the certainty of life after death; and that Death should be looked forward to as the gateway to new life, and never feared. What a waste of a life, to live under the burden of such a fear!
