Welcome to the group!
The worship of the Goddess and God of Nature is incomplete without the embracing of both Yin and Yang; female and male; Night and Day, Water and Fire. A balanced spiritual seeker will know that it is within that balance that eternal happiness, contentment and prosperity on all levels manifests.
Most Gods were actually Goddesses originally ~ and as the God comes from within the Goddess; Light from Darkness; this group is here for those who understand the working of Nature, where all is equal and nothing is above any other.
The God is the consort, brother, child, husband and other half of the Great Goddess, who was First; and we are here to honour this Perfect Androgyny in male form.
Our God of Many Names is not the authoritative, stern male god of the patriarchy; rather , we venerate the Divine Masculine Principle of the Universe as the complementary Light side of the infinite Darkness in masculine form.
Blessed Be X

Elspeth, the healing power of the trees can never be underestimated!
The acorn grows into the seedling and then develops into the sapling and the tree, which grows to live for many a generation.
The Heavenly Bamboo, Nandina domestica, is a favorite of mine as all negative energies can be literally dissipated by giving them to the graceful shrub to disseminate and transmute into the healing energies the planet needs.
It sounds like your hubby is in the best of hands!
It is actually very easy to grow plants from cuttings, seeds and divisions, depending on which plant it is and the time of year.. I found that seeds of just about every well known plant can be collected during the year at the right time. These can then be stored in dry brown paper bags and stored in a dark cupboard for many years until the right opportunity comes around and they can be planted.
What isn't spiritual of a tree, we may ask?
Bright Blessings
Kai, yes, the pollution of our atmosphere and the environment continues unabated. More efficient methods of storing and disposing of gases released as a result of the combustion of fossil fuels is not enough. Its like trying to put a plaster on a deep wound and hoping that it will not recur again.
What needs to happen is to use the power of the Sun and the wind, the power of electromagnetism - rather than continue with harmful, polluting industries.
The fact is that the overpopulation of the planet is causing a huge imbalance. Even if the current reliance on non-renewable natural resources is reversed NOW - and we switch to natural forms of energy which is the future regardless - the planet can't accommodate any more babies. That is the fact of the matter.
Ever since the principle of generating and celebrating Fertility in all aspects of life, was rejected for the principle of 'be fruitful and multiply', and 'Man has dominion over the Earth' replaced 'People shall conserve and protect the Earth', the wheels started to fall off.
Human beings are consuming more than can be replaced at the moment, and so, competition - that key term again - characterizes society globally as everyone fights for scarce resources and the 'price' of commodities goes ever upwards.
Fresh water is going to be a problem in many areas of the world.
The deforestation of large areas of the globe and the urbanization process and wasteful methods of agriculture have contributed to the acidification of the oceans, while hot spots are just burning up coral reefs. The list of crimes against Nature is a long one, and there are consequences.
As long as society is driven by fear-based values and all the money is spent on warfare and weapons rather than on people; and as long as medieval Religious values predominate regarding sex, contraception and sterilization, literal quotas for regulating births and the termination of unwanted pregnancies - this patriarchal civilization is heading for a big fall.
And we don't know whether the pieces would ever be put together again!
However Mother Nature, The Goddess of the Moon and the Horned God will forever continue on.

Where would we be without the trees?
Marcie, I agree. Trees are individual spirits, and host many, too.
The Weeping willow near flowing water, the gnarled old pine tree and the tree fern all share the same vitality ~ I suppose, a tree equivalent of virility ~ and each has a story to tell and wisdom to share, let alone the untapped healing properties which plants possess..
So many trees have been carelessly mutilated and damaged by people that they have all developed a healthy aversion to human beings, generally speaking, of course.
The way people still carry on using rare tropical hardwoods for decking and so on at this stage when there are only a fraction of the once expansive forests left standing makes one realize how strong and sacred yet how vulnerable trees are. A century of growth can be lopped down in a few minutes .
Some cut them down, and some plant them :))
Miyoko, the fall colors of the maples, pin oaks and ash to name just a few are so spectacular. I often meditate on them and am bewondered at the many shades of colors which are never the same in every leaf. The Japanese maples are also some of my favorites ~
This is Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood'.
