There are numerous benefits of meditation in ancient Indian history, but since the time I have discovered meditation my life has changed immensely in ways I could not even imagine.  Before in my life, I used to suffer a lot from negative emotions like anxiety, depression, stress, etc. but since I discovered meditation all those negative emotions just stay at the bay.

 Some of the benefits of meditation are below:

  1. Keeps you stress-free.
    As I mentioned above I used to be a really depressed & stressed person but after doing meditation for a couple of weeks all this so-called stress just disappeared from my life and I no longer feel worried about small things or anything that could cause any normal person stress.
    ”Don’t sweat the small stuff, and it’s all small stuff”
  2. Reduces Aging.
    There is scientific proof & research that meditation reduces aging at the cellular level and gives a young and nourishing skin.
  3. Adds More Hours to Your Day.
    After meditating just 15 mins in your day you will feel more connected towards your day & could get so much more done in the same amount of time.
  4. Helps you Appreciate Life More (being more grateful).
    Meditation produces dopamine (happy feeling) in our brain which automatically makes you appreciate simple things a whole lot.
  5. Helps you Feel More Connected (Compassionate & Empathetic).
    When a person meditates, he/she feels connected to their own soul and realizes that we are all one on deeper levels.
  6. Makes You and Those Around You Happier.
    When you are happy the people around you become happy too, that is the power of happiness and our prime purpose in life is to be happy & make others happy, with the help of meditation anyone can easily make others happy because they themselves are happy.
  7. Improves Functioning of Your Brain.
    I have tried this on myself it really makes wonders. For example: when I don’t used to meditate before & get to work I often used to forget so many small-small things and had to feel embarrassed a lot of times around my staff. But since I started meditating within less than a week it was like magic I could remember all that (small details) happening in my life and I was so conscious and aware of everything that it was not possible that a single thing could skip from my brain.

 

                                  Helps You Have a Good Night Sleep.

  1. Some people who have chronic sleep problems may be able to significantly improve their ability to get a restful night of sleep by practicing a popular form of meditation, a rigorous new study shows. I have tried it myself that meditation gives you a really good quality sleep.  It helps you activate your theta/delta waves which also leads to another state of deep sleep.
  2. Improves Metabolism and Helps You Lose Weight.
    I am certain that a lot of people have issues losing weight & also have a very abnormal metabolism, just trying meditation for 2-3 days you will see that your metabolism is working perfectly fine & also it will reduce the cravings by which a person loses weight naturally without any struggle.
  3. Increases Immunity & Helps Fight Diseases.
    A lot of diseases & sickness is caused because of the problems regarding a person’s immune system, meditation helps a lot with the metabolism & give a clear immune system which reduces the chances of getting diseases.
  4. Increase Your Attention Span.
    A normal human being can be focused on a certain topic or conversation for about 15-20 mins after that the mind automatically starts wandering, meditation helps in increasing your attention span & makes you more aware so you don’t miss anything while talking to your wife, kids or your boss.
