Baby Blessing Spell

Ingredients:

• 3 white candles arranged side by side
• A bowl of water
• A bowl of rose petals or potpourri
• A floral incense stick

Directions:

• Light the white candle to the far left and say, May this light bless the life of (name), that his/her life will be filled with love, light, laughter, and loveliness.
• Light the other two candles, moving from left to right. Repeat the words once for each candle.
• Blow softly into each candle in turn. Between each breath, utter a blessing for the child.
• Sprinkle a circle of rose petals around the candles. Say, By earth and sea and sky be blessed, like moon and stars and sunshine gloriously.
• Sprinkle a circle of water drops around the outside of the rose petals while repeating the words.
• Light the incense with each og the candles. Make a smoke circle outside the water drops while repeating the words.
• Extinguish the second and third candles. Save them for future milestones in the child’s life.
• Let the first candle burn through along with the incense.
