Feminine Principle

In the midst of creating a documentary about the feminine in Western society, I encountered a bit of trouble in trying to convey what we actually meant by "the feminine." Many suggested other terms to avoid the gender biases such as diffuse awareness, yin (from yin and yang) and focused awareness. What do you think of when you hear feminine? How do we address all those qualities of the soul such as creativity, intuition, receptiveness, chaos, vulnerability, etc? Is there a word for that?
