The Gospel According to a Sparrow

 

When the woods feel ten thousand years old

I walk these paths in Emily Dickinson drag

When I've forgotten all that I've been told 

And behold the springtime's deep green waving flag

 

When sunlight through the canopy of pines 

Dispels those darkened days that I have bore 

When tired eyes rest on these friendly signs

The chains of yesterday hold me no more 

 

When sparrows sing their parables to me 

In tones both ancient and forever new 

When what really is, is all that I can see  

The Eternity I live and breathe shines through

1 of my daring dad's all time favorite rock group is, The Moody Blues, which is also become 1 of mine. i've been 2 concerts with dad...love them all. anyway, ur beautiful posting here brought 2 my mind the song, Voices in the Sky by The Moody Blues...i hope it's ok that i include it here...if not, please feel free 2 remove it. truly. *smilles* love ya marK thanks again 4 so magical, wonderful honest darling...a post.

M I wouldn't dream of removing one of my favorite songs of all time. Also one of the first tunes I learned on the guitar. I saw them many years ago and was thoroughly enthralled. "Wildest Dreams" and "Land of Make Believe are also favorites. Thanks so much dear friend.

i am so happy...thank u marK. i love learning of ur love of The Moody Blues. big*smiles* love learning about u & ur experiece with the guitar...my dad also plays the guitar,...my dad turned me on 2 them many yrs ago. & i love every song that they made. & yes, those 2 that u refered 2 r amazing....of course..."once upon a time, once when u were mine."  or " we live in a land of make-be believe"
