Architect Designed A Mind-Blowing House Out Of Shipping Containers And We Wished We Could Live There

Living inside a shipping container in the middle of the desert may not sound like everyone’s idea of fun, but better wait until you see this incredible creation by London-based designer James Whitaker.

The 200-square meter house includes a kitchen, a living room, and three en-suite bedrooms. It's made from several conjoined shipping containers set at different angles, creating an illusion of a flower blooming in the desert or a structure more akin to a completely different world. It was designed for an unnamed film producer with a passion for nurturing creative projects, and as you can see, it does not get much more creative than this!

The house, called The Joshua Tree Residence, will be built on the client’s 90-acre plot of land in California, and the construction is scheduled to start in 2020. Once finished, the residence, which will be solar powered from panels on the garage roof, will offer impressive views across the surrounding landscape from the several windows and the large wooden deck.
