Anubis is the God of Dogs, the love child of Azar and Nebt-Het.

Anubis is the Leader and care-giver of the Dead; and He fulfils many roles. Dogs, Dolphins, Fish and Jackals are His sacred Animals.

Unbeknownst to most people, the Sphinx was once the Temple of Anubis, who guards the Sacred Pyramids. Dogs are indeed the oldest companions and guardians of the sacred as well as of people, throughout the course of our planet's hisstory. All dogs have a little wolf within of them :)

The Ancient Egyptians were sticklers for proportion in their artworks and statuary as all reflects from the sacred geometry of the Divine; the classical manifestation of Anubis was copied faithfully by the original sculptors in perfect mathematical proportion.

It is within the Temple of Anubis, surrounded by the Jackal Lake, where the rites of Incubation took place, and an Initiate would enter the subterranean passages of the symbolic Underworld and led into various chambers for initiatory or other experiences relating to natural spirituality.

The original head of the Anubis Temple ~ the Temple of the Jackal ~ was removed by a Pharaoah who wished to be identified with Anubis and assume His functions.

This is one of the secrets which every establishment professor will do their best to conceal, that the dreaded Incubus is actually a Pagan Priet/ess, who would lead other seekers in the sacred Rite of Incubation.

This is a dreaming and communion with the Gods, and does not involve the murder of babies nor the sapping of vitality from an innocent at all.The meaning of the word Incubate and an Incubus ~ a dreamer ~ was twisted by the Catholic Church to become a name for a supposedly demonic being who is a sexual predator and is still used in this way even today.

To our Ancestors, sex was nothing to be ashamed of, and thus, as the Old Religion is all to do with Fertility and Love, the Rites would naturally include those of an intrinsically sexual nature.

Often, one didn't even have to be near the Temple to partake in the true Love of the Divine, either...and Anubis will always be where He belongs ~ by the side of the Goddess and her Dark Sister, and their entourage.

The Moon Card in Tarot is symbolic of Anubis as Wolf and Dog , guarding the upright Pyramidions which border the Gateway to the Lunar Realms of the subconscious.

Anubis is present within the Hall of Double Truth and Right during the weighing of the heart ceremony. The scales are the Scales of Maat, the Cosmic Goddess of Truth, and the wife of Thoth, God of Wisdom.

Should the soul be weighed in heavier than the Ostrich feather of Maat, it would be led to the Lake of Fire, which is the Crone's Cauldron, to be rested, rejuvenated and prepared for a new rebirth into anothjer form, to learn further from it'experiences ~ after the purification of the soul and body had run it's course. The soul lighter than the feather, would accompany the Divinities into the Afterworld, to sit face to face with the Gods for all time, to share their drink and food and wine and advance further through their own abilities, living in Love.

It is the heart which determine's one's future, past and present selves destiny, as all of the loves, pleasures and pains we experience are not those made by the Divine, they are our own responsibility and are created by ourselves as we drift by on the celestial river of Life.

Lilith and Lucifer often manifest as large Black Dogs, and the Jackal is one of the Sacred Beasts  in the entourage of the Dark Goddess.

Hail Anubis! God of the Dead, and Guardian of the Goddess!

A suitable devotion to Anubis is to love and protect animals against all forms of exploitation and abuse. There are many animal adoption agencies which are crying out for assistance in any way, and the horrific pastime of dog fighting still persists within spiritually bankrupt societies.

It could be said, that the nature of true evil is reflected in those sick souls who actually obtain some form of twisted satisfaction from using some dogs, which are usually stolen or obtained from the pound as "bait", to excite the fighting dogs, which are then pitted against each other in a ring, while substantial bets are made on the outcome.

It may be mentioned in passing, that Anubis is still the faithful weigher of hearts in the Great Hall, and that one must indeed, take full responsibility for one's actions in this life.
