How are you doing? I hadn't heard from you in a little while, and I've been busy. Sometimes in English we use the word "you" in a general fashion when describing a concept, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily you specifically.
I've been going through a bit of turmoil myself, lately. Somehow, despite my best efforts, some of the adverse influences from where I live seems to have slipped into my work environment - not from me personally, but in general. PDX is a bit of a crazy workplace, it seems. After six months, the bad attitude from the DOT "trainer" ("sabotager" would be more accurate, actually) has begun to infest my surroundings at the airport. That's one of the negative cycles which I've been trying to break. Although I've had some success at that, I'm just going to have to accept that the human parts of this world are just going insane, to some degree - those who have no belief in anything other than themselves, that is.
It's gotten to the point that I cannot tolerate the notion of continuing to work there, so my last day is this Friday. I've already submitted the two-week notice on April 28th, so they cannot honestly say that I wasn't professional about it. Thus, I have a much more recent favorable work reference to add to my resume, which ought to make it easier to get work someplace else much more quickly. Previously I hadn't worked since 2018, and a lot of employers don't seem to like that. At least the job at the airport lasted six months, and it was full-time.
Now if my narcissist neighbors would wake up and show some good sense, it would be a lot better. That's probably expecting miracles, though. Just a quick update, have a good week.
That's not necessarily what I had said, Margarida, it's just that sometimes these online translators don't function all that well, and sometimes they translate the words but don't really convey the true meaning of the words in the phrase. It's not really your fault, so no apology is necessary. English may seem easier to you than Portuguese, but it's also a language in which it's easy to confuse the meaning of some phrases, especially when you throw in slang terms and phrases. Have a good day, Margarida.
No problem, and you don't have to feel sorry about being concerned. I didn't take your comment as though you had "charged" me anything (it sounds like a credit card company comment, the way you worded it, though). That's OK, English is a complicated language.
Hello Margarida, Thank you for the lovely Christmas and New Year's greetings. It's appreciated. Feliz Navidad y Ano Neuvo to you and your precious family and friends. Namaste.
I recently reviewed your earlier comments and caught more on your health issues. I'd only caught parts of it, I'm sorry to have to admit. Tonight marks my last dose of Mavyret, a medication for treating Hepatitis C. I hope it works, I've had it for just over 30 years. I've heard only good reports on its effectiveness, though.
I hope you can find something which helps with your (spinal?) column pain and the coughs. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, as Brazil is just south of the equator and is largely jungle, thus rather moist. Hoping all is well for you. Blessings.
Well, then, Happy "Natal" (even if we haven't gotten past Thanksgiving yet - wait, that's specific to the United States). Thanks for confirming "Dia das Bruxas" for me. As for the clarifying entries, I am simply interested in clear communications and accuracy. Being another programmer/coder, you can probably relate well to that. My primary work right now is actually in transportation as a shuttle driver, and I don't mind keeping any computer stuff I do as a hobby - IT work here in the states can be a bit on the neurotic side, and that would take a bit of explaining about the U.S. and its peculiar form of the I.T. field of work. Well, take care, and have a good evening.
"Dia das Bruxas", eh (did I spell it right?)? Good to know, thanks. I know, Halloween is a slang form of the term "All Hallows Eve". As for the witches, not all of them are evil, any more or less than any other way of life, sect, or creed would be. It all comes back to people and the choices we make. Some are inclined toward good, and others, not so much. Wicca (Latin for "way of the wise", as I understand it) has within it a "Wiccan Rede", which states "...an' ye harm none, do what ye will" (as rendered in Old English terms). Actually, Wicca might even be the world's "oldest" religion, or way of life. Please don't take that as any participation or lack on my part, I'm simply presenting my findings after my own preliminary examination of the matter over the past 10-15 years. Thanks for noticing that I generally incline toward being "good-hearted" and "sensitive", as well. Most haven't noticed over the decades. Well, take care, and enjoy your weekend.
Now that you mention it, you must mean the same weekend when I couldn't get on the site, either. Apparently they'd had to re-certify on the server site which handles the temple's Domain Name Service for the internet, so I'm sure all the site users would have had the same trouble. They had it back up after that weekend was over, though. Have a good weekend, Happy Halloween, and "Feliz Dia de los Muertos" (to render it in spanish, sorry - I don't know the equivalent Portuguese. You can tell me if you like).

NICE WEEKEND!

I quit all the sites except here, WM and the music site. I just have no time to do the other sites justice. I barely have time for these.
Happy Friday and a great weekend!
May be one of the best.
My silence? I guess you've not been checking my wall lately. I've just been terribly busy of late, is all it is. Happy New Year!
Bill
thank you for always being there, my friend
